The New Living Translation renders it clearly: “We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the One who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.” He spoke with a consciousness of timing. He knew there was a defined period to accomplish the redemptive work. Today, we stand in that same consciousness. While it is day, we must do the work of God.

We are not in an ordinary phase of Church history. We are in the closing stretch — an “extra time” granted for the fulfilment of the gospel mandate. The fullness of the Gentiles is in view, and we are approaching that terminal point. This is why complacency has no place in our lives as ministers of the Gospel because the hour demands action and the work must be done now while it is day.

The ministry entrusted to us at this time begins with the life God has given us. Our effectiveness flows from that life, and therefore, transformation is essential. A minister cannot remain the same and effectively advance the gospel mandate at this time. There must be growth, increased capacity, and a heightened consciousness of who you are in Christ.

At this point, the question is not whether God will act. The question is:
Are you aligned with what He is doing presently?

Alignment in this extra time requires the ministry of the Spirit. The assignment before us is divine, and it requires divine partnership with the Holy Spirit. We are not alone in this mission. He was given to us for this purpose: to guide, strengthen, and work through us. As co-workers together with God, we must therefore align with His plan and carry it out by His power.

In this gospel mandate, God has His role, and you have yours. He has already set the plan in motion. This is why this season has been declared a time of advancement when the Lord has called us to step forward boldly in the vision. He has entrusted to us. The nations are open. The systems are in place, and the grace is available. Our responsibility is to align and execute.
