Mark 2:2 says, And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

It is the word of God preached by the disciples, that the Lord validated with signs and wonders. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Mark 16:20.

Everywhere the apostles went, what they had to offer the people, was the word.

And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. (Acts 8:25)

And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister. (Acts 13:5)

1 Peter 1:25 says, But the Word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

So what is the Word of God?
The Word of God is that message from God that reveals or communicates His works, will, thoughts, plans, purposes and pursuits to bring men into or promote fellowship with Him in love.  It is God’s message of truth with content and power to build His image into the life of the hearer. Its content is the embodiment of Christ’s revelations, provisions, perfections and instructions.

You can’t successfully build others with good advice or human philosophy. As a minister, you are sent to voice God’s message to inspire and enrich the fellowship of God’s children with Him.

Always measure your message with this.
