The heir stood trembling before the heavy iron gates, unaware the keys were already in his hand. He cried for entry while the guards waited for a command he had the legal right to give. Many spend a lifetime pleading for a door to open, forgetting they are royalty and are expected to decree a thing and have it come to pass. It is time to stop acting like a visitor in a house where you were born to rule.

Dear ministers, God is calling you to practice operating from the seat of all power, operating from the Throne Room. According to Ephesians 1:15-21, Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, far above every government, title, and authority—not just in the future, but in this present world, “far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” (NIV).

The Gospel prevailed over many generations because men and women dared to use the Name of Jesus over the agents of darkness. We are the most law-abiding citizens on earth, supporting our governments. However, when human laws collide with the mandate of God, we stand our ground. We only make trouble for those who trouble the things of God.

Romans 5:17 declares “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”. While we will reign with Him in the Millennium, we reign by Him now. How do you exercise this? Through your words. Where the word of a king is, there is power—the dynamic ability to cause changes. If your city or ministry is not reflecting God’s glory, it is because the word of a king has not been given.

Rome and its emperors have dissolved into the dust of history, but the Name of Jesus remains. Dear ministers, exercise your authority over your city, nation, situation or circumstances. Speak to the mess and demand a change. You are a king in this life; it is time you started talking like one.
